Our Mission

To inspire others to give back to their communities, acknowledge societal issues and work towards solutions, and highlight exceptional individuals deserving recognition for their giving.

Our Story

The Giver’s Guide is a student-led magazine originating at Sage Hill School. Through research, interviews, volunteering, and investigative journalism, we strive to understand multifaceted societal issues and inform about their presence and importance.

Everyone should have an opportunity to support a cause they feel passionate about and understand the benefits of volunteer work. To this end, we highlight organizations that are motivated to solve and alleviate the effects of some of the largest or most disregarded challenges we face today. To truly make a difference and experience the gratification of volunteering, you must genuinely care about making an impact. We created The Giver’s Guide as a platform where anyone can read or write about experiences volunteering at nonprofits, bring awareness to issues targeting our community, and learn how to use their talent and creativity for a greater cause.

As The Giver’s Guide grows, we aim to reach out to as many of the SIXTY THOUSAND nonprofits in the Los Angeles Area with the help of our readers and team of volunteers. We will be giving platforms to more than SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND people employed in these organizations and assisting them in providing solutions to societal issues— from protecting the environment to medical research to supplying necessities for people in need. We will continue to shed light on topics that need to be addressed and make an effort to provide fresh perspectives to motivate change. Our team consists of designers, artists, editors, photographers, and staff. Join our team today by emailing us at thegiversguide@gmail.com
